Paris is worth visiting all year long but the city becomes even more beautiful in the fall. It might be the best season to visit!
The weather is mild with some crisp days and beautiful colors. The parks turn yellow, orange and bright red. The iconic tree-lined boulevards, the cobbled streets and gardens are carpeted with autumn leaves. No season is as beautiful as fall is in Paris!
High tourist season is over and you can get a feel for what it’s really like to be a local. Above all, fall is authentically Parisian!
Last but not least, the city is buzzing with exhibitions, festivals and all sorts of free events. No one can do it all but with some strategic planning, you can make the most of it!

Which month is the best to visit Paris in the fall?
Fall is a real season in Paris. It lasts for weeks. But your trip (and your budget) won’t be the same if you come early September or late November. So read and choose carefully!
September is the month when Paris come back to life, the start of the transition from summer to fall. It’s the starting point of a new year. Parisians comes back after their summer vacations. Everything goes back to normal as restaurants and stores reopen.
The city is vibrant and the weather summer like!
October is undoubtedly one of the best times of the year to visit. The weather is gentle with some crisp days and beautiful colors. The cobbled streets, parks and river banks are carpeted with autumn leaves and the city is buzzing with exhibitions and popular festivals.

November is cheaper! The high touristic season is over. Temperatures drop to 50 F during the day but restaurants and cafes heat their outdoor terraces. Some even give you a warm blanket so that you can enjoy a hot chocolate or do some people watching like Parisians do!
The weather is ideal for cafés, museums and shopping!
